Colin Gaudet

Photographer

My name is Colin and I am from the sandy shore of the blistering Atlantic coast. Growing up by the free energy of the ocean, I used my spare time drawing strange tales about mythical creatures and fashionable mutant alliances.

Being a true perfectionist, my fascination with photography began when I realized that my eye skewed the proportions of my drawn subjects. Thus, my exploration through a second lens began.

I am attracted to unique subjects who can bring personality and character to my images. I find infinite inspiration in the interplay between contrasting colours in both symbolic and design based meaning.

After graduating from Humber College twice, Graphic Design first followed by the Creative Photography program (back to back), I’ve worked for two different labs assisted various photographers as well as shot for a variety of clients for large in house studios.

The year 2000 is when I felt it was time to start shooting for my own set of clients out of my own studio. Because after all, it really is all about me. As it turns out, it was best move ever. Lighting, finding the best angle and paying attention to detail is what it’s all about. Whether I’m shooting in the studio or on location, every job big or small gets equal consideration. As long as it’s still fun, then I’ll still be shooting. I feel truly fortunate making a living doing what I love.
