There are so many reasons to use a face masque regularly.

You Time:  Masques are therapeutic, both for your skin, and your state of being.  Consider your masquing time to be your time. It’s a little investment in rest, meditation, or quiet.  Breath deeply, and enjoy the moment.

Cleansing:  Proper masquing takes cleansing to a whole new level of deep cleansing.  A food facial masque will draw out the impurities behind the top layer of skin, improving pores and complexion.

Pore Maintenance:  Certain ingredients, such as bentonite clay, remove dirt and absorb excess oil from your skin.  When you remove all the debris from your skin, you’re also helping to unclog your pores. Regular masquing helps keep your pores clean, and your face glowing.

Glowing Skin:  Masques generally help stimulate blood circulation.  Through the process of application, hardening, and removal, the blood vessels in your face expand, resulting in softer feeling, smoother looking skin.

Effective Skin Care:  By keeping your skin clear and pores clean with a masque, you create the perfect conditions for the other products in your routine to be absorbed quickly and efficiently.

How To Use It:

Step 1: Start with a freshly cleansed face.  Use your daily cleanser to remove all surface dirt from your face.  Make sure to tie your hair back, to keep it out of the way.

Step 2: using damp hands (or a facial brush, depending on the consistency of the masque) to apply a thick layer to your skin face and decollete.  Avoid the eye area, and keep your nostrils clear.

Step 3: Wait.  This is the You Time.  Most masques should be left on for 10 minutes.  Make sure to read the directions, and follow them precisely.

Step 4: Remove the masque using plenty of water, and a soft cloth.  Pat your skin dry with a towel, and move on to the rest of your skincare routine, starting with toner.
